NAME
chart - a virtual strip chart recorder for continuum meas-
     urements

SYNOPSIS
     $SMALOCAL/bin/chart antenna_number

DESCRIPTION
"chart" is a Labwindows-CVI application that provides a
facility to visualize and record total-power continuum and
     synchronous detection scans.

The default sampling rate is 1 second, which can be changed
on the GUI, under Save->Sample Rate. On selecting "Start
Save" option, the user can specify the file name and path
for storing the acquired data in an ascii file. The data
consists of 6 columns: time_stamp, azimuth, elevation,
azoff, eloff, detector output in volts. The time_stamp con-
sists of date and local time derived the system clock on the
Sun. The continuum detector output in volts, is displayed on
the panel along with the date and time.

The command-line argument "antenna_number" is an integer
between 1 and 8, selecting the antenna involved in the
     single-dish work.

OPTIONS
           None.

KNOWN BUGS
Sampling rates faster than 1 Hz, are not allowed in the
     present version.

ENVIRONMENT
Since the program uses the CVI run-time engine, the follow-
ing paths should be included in the path of executables.
     /opt/cvi and /opt/cvi/bin.
